Auto-Scheduling

Set it and forget it. Let DailyDraft automatically draft and send your newsletter on a schedule.

Paid Feature: Auto-scheduling requires a paid newsletter plan.

How Scheduling Works

With auto-scheduling enabled:

  1. Draft time - DailyDraft creates a draft with AI-curated content
  2. Review window - You have time to review and edit
  3. Send time - Newsletter automatically sends to subscribers

Setting Up Your Schedule

  1. Go to Settings → Schedule
  2. Toggle "Enable Scheduling" on
  3. Select your publishing days (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
  4. Set draft time (when AI creates the draft)
  5. Set send time (when newsletter goes out)
  6. Click "Save Schedule"

Review Window

The time between draft and send is your review window. Use this time to:

  • Review AI-curated articles
  • Edit summaries and commentary
  • Remove or add articles
  • Verify everything looks correct
Tip: Set draft time 4+ hours before send time to give yourself enough review time.

Auto-Send Option

With Auto-Send enabled: The newsletter sends automatically at send time, even if you don't review it.

With Auto-Send disabled: You must manually approve each issue before it sends. You'll receive an email when a draft is ready.

What Gets Auto-Drafted?

When a scheduled draft is created:

  • AI searches for articles matching your keywords
  • Articles are scraped and summarized
  • Best articles are curated based on your preferences
  • Newsletter content is generated using your persona
  • Subject line is AI-generated

Notifications

You'll receive email notifications for:

  • Draft ready for review
  • Scheduled send approaching (if not yet approved)
  • Newsletter sent successfully

Pausing Your Schedule

To temporarily stop scheduling:

  1. Go to Settings → Schedule
  2. Toggle off "Enable Scheduling"
  3. Your settings are saved for when you re-enable
