Import Articles by URL

Manually add specific articles to your newsletter by pasting their URLs.

Adding Articles by URL

Sometimes you find a perfect article that wasn't automatically discovered. You can add it manually:

  1. Navigate to the issue you're editing
  2. Click "Add Article" or "Import URL"
  3. Paste the article URL
  4. Click "Import"

DailyDraft will automatically:

  • Fetch the article content
  • Extract the title and main text
  • Generate an AI summary
  • Add it to your curated articles

Supported Sources

You can import articles from most websites, including:

  • News sites (TechCrunch, The Verge, etc.)
  • Blogs (Medium, Substack, personal blogs)
  • Research publications
  • Company announcements
Note: Some sites may block content extraction. If an import fails, try finding the same article on a different source.

Bulk Import

To add multiple articles at once:

  1. Click "Bulk Import"
  2. Paste multiple URLs (one per line)
  3. Click "Import All"
  4. Wait for processing to complete

After Importing

Imported articles go through the same processing as discovered articles:

  1. Content is scraped and cleaned
  2. AI generates a summary
  3. Article appears in your curated list
  4. You can edit the summary before publishing
Pro Tip: Use the browser extension (coming soon) to import articles with one click while browsing.
