Create dynamic groups of subscribers based on behavior, engagement, and attributes.

What Are Segments?

Segments are dynamic groups that automatically update based on rules you define. Use segments to:

  • Send targeted content to specific audiences
  • Track engagement of different subscriber groups
  • Personalize your newsletter experience

Creating a Segment

  1. Go to Segments in the sidebar
  2. Click "New Segment"
  3. Name your segment
  4. Add filter conditions
  5. Click "Save Segment"

Segment Conditions

Build segments using these filters:

Engagement Filters

Filter Example Use
Open rate Subscribers with >50% open rate
Click rate Subscribers who click links
Last opened Opened in last 30 days
Emails received Received more than 10 emails

Attribute Filters

Filter Example Use
Tags Has tag "premium" or "vip"
Subscription date Subscribed in last 7 days
Referral source Came from specific referrer

Using Segments

Send to a Segment

When sending an issue, you can choose to send to a specific segment instead of all subscribers.

View Segment Analytics

Each segment shows its own engagement metrics, helping you understand different audience groups.

Recommended Segments:
  • Engaged - Opened last 3 issues
  • New - Subscribed in last 14 days
  • At-risk - Haven't opened in 30+ days
  • Super fans - Open rate >80%
