Subscriber Tags
Organize subscribers with custom labels for better targeting and organization.
What Are Tags?
Tags are labels you apply to subscribers to categorize them. Unlike segments (which are automatic), tags are manually assigned. Use tags to:
- Mark subscriber interests
- Track where subscribers came from
- Identify VIP or special subscribers
- Organize for targeted campaigns
Adding Tags to Subscribers
Tag Individual Subscribers
- Go to Subscribers
- Click on a subscriber to view their profile
- Click "Add Tag"
- Type a tag name or select existing
- Press Enter to save
Bulk Tag Subscribers
- Go to Subscribers
- Select multiple subscribers using checkboxes
- Click "Add Tags" from the bulk actions menu
- Choose or create tags to apply
Tag During Import
When importing a CSV, you can:
- Include a "tags" column with comma-separated values
- Apply a tag to all imported subscribers
Managing Tags
View and manage all tags from Subscribers → Tags:
- Rename - Change a tag's name (updates all subscribers)
- Merge - Combine two tags into one
- Delete - Remove a tag from all subscribers
Tag Best Practices
Keep it simple: Use a consistent naming convention and avoid creating too many tags. Quality over quantity.

|---|---|
| Source | website, twitter, referral, paid-ad |
