Send Your First Issue

Walk through the complete workflow: discover articles, curate content, draft with AI, and send to subscribers.

Step 1: Create a New Issue

1. Go to your newsletter → Issues
2. Click "New Issue"
3. Enter a subject line (or click ✨ for AI suggestions)
4. Click "Create Issue"

Step 2: Discover Articles

AI will automatically search for relevant articles based on your preferences:

1. On the issue page, click "Fetch Articles"
2. Wait while AI searches (usually 30-60 seconds)
3. Articles appear in the "Discovered" section

Step 3: Curate Content

Review discovered articles and select the best ones:

1. Review each article: Read the AI-generated summary
2. Check AI recommendations: Look for "Must Include" and "Should Include" badges
3. Select articles: Click to mark articles as "Curated"
4. Reorder if needed: Drag to change the order

Curation Tips

• Aim for 5-10 articles per issue
• Mix news, tutorials, and opinions
• Include varied sources for credibility
• Consider your audience's interests

Step 4: Draft with AI

Once you've curated articles, let AI write your newsletter:

1. Click "Draft with AI"
2. Watch the progress indicator
3. Review the generated content in the editor

The AI draft includes:

• Personalized introduction in your voice
• Article summaries (TLDRs)
• Transitions between sections
• Closing and call-to-action

Step 5: Edit & Refine

The markdown editor lets you customize the draft:

• Edit text: Modify any section
• Add personal notes: Include your commentary
• Preview: Click "Preview" to see the final email
• Auto-save: Changes save automatically

Step 6: Send a Test

Before sending to subscribers, test the email:

1. Click "Send Test"
2. Enter your email address
3. Check how it looks in your inbox
4. Verify links work correctly

Step 7: Send to Subscribers

Ready to send? Click "Send Now" to deliver your newsletter:

1. Click "Send Now"
2. Confirm the send
3. Watch the progress bar
4. Issue status changes to "Sent"

After Sending

Once sent, you can:

• Track opens: See who opened your email
• Track clicks: See which links got clicks
• View analytics: Open rates, click rates, and more
• Publish to web: Make the issue available on your archive

Troubleshooting

No Articles Found

• Check your keywords in Preferences
• Try broader search terms
• Increase the freshness window

AI Draft Seems Off

• Review your audience description in Preferences
• Update your AI persona if needed
• Edit the draft manually
